QA ManagerWe have a great opportunity for a talented Quality Assurance Manager with a continuously growing dairy company. Must have experience in food processing, dairy is preferred**Location: Northern IndianaJob Responsibilities:Ensure daily plant quality and food safety operations follow company policies, procedures, customer requirements, local, state and federal regulationsResponsible for food safety and quality plans along with supporting prerequisite programsEnhance and maintain plant policies, procedures, and practices to safeguard a cGMP environmentThrough cross functional collaboration assess and maintain an effect plant hygiene planOwnership of PEM Program utilizing information to ensure holistic management of food safety issues, while implementing effective corrective actionsOversee plant sanitation to drive a robust sanitation program that supports a cGMP environmentEnsure the plant pest control programs are current, followed and utilized to enable proactive maintenanceManage the facility s change control program to enable robust risk assessment and decisionsCollaboratively lead investigations relating to non-conforming events driving to root cause and effect resolution. Maintain the CAPA programServe as point of contact for customer related issuesCollaborate with R&D during new/reformulated product introductionServe as a key member of the plant leadership teamPartner with operations to build a world class food safety and quality cultureTrack and report on plant KPIsProvide training to plant personnel concerning food safety, FSMA and regulatory complianceOversee the development of cGMP laboratory practices to ensure accurate and precise QC resultsPerform data analysis to identify critical trendsRequired Skills/Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree is preferred in food science, biological sciences or related field5+ years of experience in a food processing environment or pharmaceutical is a must3+ years experience managing teamsPrefer experience in dairy manufacturingCertification or Licenses HACCP, SQF, PCQIKnowledge of both laboratory and plant cGMPsKnowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and company computer systems, specifically LIMS, Excel and ERPKnowledge of principles and practices of supervision, training and personnel managementAble to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writingAble to manage challenging situations in a professional manner
