Be part of what's next!Oil States Piper Valve is currently looking for qualified candidates for the position ofQUALITY & LOGISTICS SUPPORT SPECIALIST IOKLAHOMA CITY, OKIn our organization, the Quality & Logistics Support Specialist I has a critical and challenging role in helping achieve innovation and meeting our commitments by assisting Logistics with receiving duties, coordinating an efficient flow of parts to the Quality area by staging components for inspection, and verifying the required documentation moves through the Quality process in a timely fashion.Essential Duties and Responsibilities Perform receiving duties including but not limited to physical receipt, receiving inspections, compiling required documentation, and completing required transactions within the ERP system. Coordinate with Buyers as necessary to identify and process ERP system adjustments to reconcile order receipt amounts with physical counts received. Assist the Quality Control Supervisor in ensuring high demand component inspections are processed in a timely manner. Assist both Quality and Logistics personnel with ERP system transactions as needed. Perform all tasks as required of a Safety Sensitive position.Other Duties and Responsibilities Assist Inspectors with parts marking as demand requires. Review NDE inspection records to ensure accuracy. Assist Logistics with picking and packing tasks as necessary. Perform PMI activities and generate PMI reports accurately as demand requires. Assist with calibration responsibilities as needed. Assist with scanning and filing documentation generated by the quality control or logistics processes as needed. Effectively and efficiently use time to safely perform duties. Complete all paperwork in required manner and time frame. Demonstrate a willingness to learn to produce new products, use new procedures, and embrace and support change. Follow and support established HSE programs. Report any unsafe situations to appropriate Management Team member if necessary. All other duties or tasks as assigned.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities Ability to accurately count components by hand or via weight counting. Ability to read and understand purchase orders, material test reports (MTR), and material specifications. Ability to gain a working knowledge of quality standards such as API and ISO. Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with people. Strong problem-solving and analysis skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects daily in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Ability to speak, write and read English. Able to work independently or as part of a team on a broad variety of projects. Willingness to work additional hours to meet tight deadlines.Qualification Requirements High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. Must obtain and maintain active Level 2 OSI-OKC Piper certification to operate Class I forklifts. Must obtain and maintain active OSI-OKC Piper certifications to operate cranes.Physical Requirements Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. Extended walking, sitting, and/or standing.Tools and Equipment Used Frequent use of computer equipment to include but not limited to laptop computer, monitors, keyboard, mouse, scanner, and printer. Frequent use of company designated software programs to include but not limited to document control software, employee time tracking software, and office productivity software packages. Frequent use of various measuring tools including but not limited to digital or dial calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges. Periodic use of overhead cranes and other lifting devices including but not limited to 1/2-ton cranes, 1-ton cranes, 5-ton cranes, and associated rigging. Periodic use of Class I forklifts. Potential to drive company vehicles or personal vehicles for business purposes.Quality/Customer Service Implications Directly impacts workplace safety through active participation in OSI-OKC HSE programs and safe work practices. Indirectly impacts first pass test percentage, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction through highly effective and detailed inspections of components prior to them being released for assembly.
