Job description

Purpose
Monitor and maintain quality of all products produced at RMA Baytown in accordance with Quality, Laboratory, Environmental and Safety systems while providing excellent support to production.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
  1. General Policy
  1. Mold & test plastic specimens.
  2. Provide production process support when required; Confidence to shut down an extruder when a quality concern makes it necessary.
  3. Support manufacturing by assisting with re-work, formulation, SPC reaction plan adjustments and SOC changes as necessary to produce product within specification.
  4. Prepare data for lot certifications and enter SPC data from off-line testing.
  5. Prepare customer samples as requested for external testing and customer shipment.
  6. Perform in-process color sample preparation, measurement and pigment adjustments where necessary.
  7. Maintain/improve laboratory cleanliness & organization.
  8. Laboratory equipment PM's and verifications.
  9. Support receiving staff with raw material inspection, testing and approval.
  10. Train, coach, assist and verify manufacturing personnel to be able to properly perform in-process product inspections.
  11. Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
  12. Apply the RMA 7S for Success standards to the work areas and all tasks.
  13. Uphold the Ravago Code of Conduct standards.
  14. Other duties as assigned by the Quality Manger.

Minimum Qualifications/ Education / Experience / Certifications
  1. Education:
  1. High school diploma or equivalent - required
  2. 1-2 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment (plastic experience preferred).
  1. Experience:
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Word, and Excel.
  3. Ability to manage time, organize, and set priorities.
  4. Forklift license required.
  5. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
