The Quality Improvement Coordinator III implements and participates in Quality Improvement activities for the Medicaid line of business. This includes, but is not limited to the annual program description, work plan, Enrollee outbound calls to support various Quality Improvement activities and campaigns. The Quality Improvement Coordinator III performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative.- The Quality Improvement Coordinator performs Quality Improvement projects and related activities.
- Responsible for documentation and tracking of outstanding team activities through completion of the project.
- Performs Enrollee outreach calls to members to close gaps in care and provide education.
- Assists with managing Quality Improvement projects and activities related to Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis and Testing (EPSDT)
- Monitors quality metrics as required.
- Exercises discretion and judgment in prioritizing requests and interpreting and adapting procedures, and processes.
- Performs advanced administrative/operational/customer support duties that require independent initiative.

Required Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Prior experience in a fast-paced insurance or healthcare setting
- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- MUST RESIDE IN OKLAHOMA
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a health or social science area
Experience participating in and coordinating Quality Improvement projects and other Quality Improvement activities.
Proven analytical skills.
Experience in provider relations, or member education.
Understanding of healthcare quality measures STARS, HEDIS, etc.
Additional Information
This position will be required to work in the Humana Oklahoma City office 2-3 days /week.
