This position is an entry-level developmental role and will report to the site's Quality Manager. The candidate will be a key contributor in the maintenance of the facility's Quality and Food Safety programs to help in the prevention of Food Safety or Quality incidents, ensure regulatory compliance, as well as meeting specific Quality KPI's designed to continually improve the sites QFS performance. This position will have the opportunity to learn and develop under the guidance of the industry's leading QFS professionals with an excellent opportunity to develop a wide spectrum of skills leadership development and career advancement within the Bunge operating facilities. After initial assignment of 18-24 months (potentially at multiple sites) of structured development, the candidate will be evaluated for promotion to another Bunge facility as Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager positions become available.
Core Functions:
• Implement, maintain and update Bunge Quality standards to promote a Best-in-Class quality programs with a focus on eliminating QFS Incidents, meeting regulatory requirements and meeting specific Quality KPI's.
• Monitor, Assess and Coach Bunge personnel on Quality standards and best practices to help ensure our plans and standards are being understood and followed.
• Conduct relevant Quality training/orientations for plant personnel, contractors and visitors.
• Conduct audits and inspections of the facility to ensure compliance with Quality standards and procedures and regulatory requirements, identify deficiencies and assist in the development of CAPA's.
• Assist management with incident investigations to identify root causes and key factors and aid in the development of corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain records of audits, inspections, monitoring, training, etc. per Bunge standards and regulatory requirements.
• Perform tracking and trending of Quality incidents to identify opportunities for continuous improvement and the prevention of future events.
• Support SQF standard and key customer requirements are understood and known throughout the assigned facility.
• Co-chair the site's Safety and Health Committee and participate on other applicable safety committees.
Experience/Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Scientific discipline ideally Food Science, or closely related field required
• Prior internship or other QFS experience preferred
• Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills required
• Good working knowledge of PC applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Ability to grow in the Bunge Quality role with the potential for advancement into a senior QFS management position and possible future relocation.
