Job description

Are you passionate about quality and Food Safety? It’s at the heart of what we do. Join us as a Quality Food Safety (QFS) Coach where you will use your knowledge in quality and Food Safety systems, you will enable capability building, drive decision making, and provide leadership to business unit partners across a Kellanova food category or platform. You will connect people together by developing tools and deploying strategic initiatives. Come work for a company that delights the world through foods and brands that matter. This position will be based in either Chicago, IL or Battle Creek, MI.

A Taste of What You’ll Be Doing

Multi-Plant QFS Subject Matter Expert (SME) – You will serve as the SME for assigned facilities to coach individuals on executing the QFS Kellanova Work Systems (KWS) programs. Build technical, leadership, and critical thinking capabilities to become a strong well-rounded team. Identify opportunities for improvement and provide training needs based on health check assessments.

Capability Building – We grow together every day. Be a partner within plant operations, quality, Food Safety, sanitation, and other programs. By doing this, you will build capability within the plant teams through the development of quality processes, tools, training, communication, and health checks. Lead by coaching on quality or Food Safety incidents; enabling appropriate risk assessment and corrective preventative action plans.

Programs, Policies, and Projects – You will be a system/program owner for KWS QFS and actively participate and lead in Community of Practices (COPs) to provide learning and continual executional improvements utilizing the Plan Do Check Act (PDCA) cycle.

Technical Guidance – You will apply Kellanova global policies and compliance to plant-driven Kellanova KWS initiatives. You will partner with the plants to develop their Quality Center of Excellence (COE).
