The Electro Optical Infrared Systems (EOIS) line of business within DRS has locations in Dallas and Austin, TX, Melbourne, FL, and Cypress, CA. EOIS develops, manufactures, and supports infrared and electro-optical solutions for soldiers, ground vehicles and airborne platforms. - Work closely with and assist engineers in the conduct of various engineering assignments
- Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and also learn new things
- Conduct limited scope testing under the supervision of engineers
- The ability to effectively manage time in completing assigned tasks
- May be required to help in research in a particular field
- Conduct process audits with the assistance of lead quality engineer
- Assist engineers with appropriate design details
- Must have good interpersonal skills and have the ability to build a good network
- Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the engineering staff, methods, programs and practices
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
- Ability to interact effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures
- Other duties as assigned
Currently enrolled in an undergraduate/ master's engineering degree
Have completed at least 2 years of college with a minimum 3.0 GPA or better
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to solve complex problems using your natural curiosity
Work effectively as a member of a team or on individual tasks
Ability to read technical drawings and work in a manufacturing environment a plus
