About The Position
Location – Remote U.S. (other team members located in San Francisco, Boston and Los Angeles)
Antares Audio Technologies (Antares), inventors of Auto-Tune, and worldwide leader in vocal
production tools, is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our Pro Audio development team on a short term contractual basis. The contractual nature of the work entails working 40 hours a week over a 6 month time period.
Antares focuses on the professional and “prosumer” segments of the global audio software market with distribution of award winning vocal processing products direct to consumers and through third party wholesale relationships. Additionally Antares licenses technologies across a range of professional and consumer vocal processing applications. At Antares, we are on a mission to democratize the music making process and enable everyone to find their best voice.
As we continue to expand our product line and further commercialize our technology, we are seeking a Quality Engineer, specialized in Quality Engineering, and audio production. This position will work in a cross-functional team alongside talented engineers to ensure the quality of our award winning flagship vocal processing products through robust software functional testing and automation. As a Quality Engineer, you will bring your audio production expertise and hands-on testing skills to a collaborative, customer-centric, Agile team environment.
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to, the following:
Responsibilities
- Work closely with Product Management and Software Development to understand new requirements and effectively test new product functionality
- Manually validate expected application behavior where applicable prior to launching new features
- Write high quality, performant tests to validate software features
- Collaborate with Software Engineer in Test engineers to craft, maintain and improve existing manual test suites
- Leverage your expertise to solve problems that lead to positive customer outcomes
- Collaborate with and share knowledge amongst colleagues to improve our organization
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio, Music, Computer science, or equivalent technical experience
- Deep experience using Audio Production software including digital audio workstations, effect plugins and virtual instruments
- Demonstrated expert experience with Auto-Tune Pro including Graph Mode
- 2 or more years in a quality assurance role
- Experience with audio hardware including audio interfaces and midi controllers
- Highly proficient in macOS and Windows environments
- Fluency with collaborative team tools such as JIRA and Confluence
- Exceptional communication skills
