What You'll Do:

  • Support Quality Engineering representative assigned various manufacturing areas and/or customers.
  • Learn and ensure compliance with Avalign procedures; customer requirements;  and industry regulations, including FDA Quality System Regulation and ISO 13485.
  • Support operations and engineering teams to ensure the Material Review Board process is followed.
  • Provide ongoing Quality Engineering support to operations, including risk management, developing appropriate inspection requirements;  and complaint/NC/CAPA investigations.
  • Submit documentation to customers for new product launches and legacy product documentation requests.

What You'll Need:

  • Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, biomedical engineering or related area of study with at least a junior standing.
  • Anticipated target graduation date December 2024 - May 2025.
  • Ability to work 40 hours per week onsite during the 10-week summer internship program out of our Portland, OR facility.
  • Demonstrated academic excellence with a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher.
  • Ability to work now and in the future without any sponsorship.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles, encompassing both theoretical understanding and hands-on practical application.
