The internship requires initiative, ingenuity and the willingness to learn and the ability to work independently.
Their primary role will be assisting engineers on current projects with activities such as, creating tooling and fixtures, writing manufacturing documents, developing processes and preparing presentations. They may be interfacing with the design engineering, quality engineering, machine operators, and customers.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Support process development and characterization tasks.
Support internal and external audit activities as required to meet requirements and maintain approvals.
Support FAI requirements per AS9102.
Basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, database).
Research and develop of work instructions and process sheets.
Create and / or improve on systems that optimize the efficiency of material flow throughout the facility.
Interact with various internal functions to provide quality engineering support for production.
Participate in Root Cause Analysis and implementation of Corrective Actions.
Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level.
Various other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Participate in training as required
Physical Demands:
Some lifting, moving instrumentation, performing tests in various areas of the facility required
Must be able to lift, push, or pull at least 35 lbs.
Regularly required to sit, stand, reach, bend, and move about our facility
Work Environment:
Work usually performed in a combination of office and plant setting.
Requirements:
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree in related field of Engineering
Current GPA 3.0 or higher preferred.
Good communication skills will be required to support technical discussions with other functions.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced team environment.
Demonstrated record or desire of same for the self-directed management of multiple tasks in a high-tempo manufacturing environment.
A determined commitment to overcome challenges in order to resolve issues and accomplish both company and personal objectives.
