Quality Engineer Ii

As a Quality Engineer II, you'll ensure all quality standards are met for our products and production equipment. You'll participate in the designing and testing of our processes, mechanisms, and equipment, and development of standardized quality acceptance criteria. You'll write inspection procedure, assist in reviewing and evaluating in-process rejections, obtain disposition, and implement corrective action as needed, as well as participate in audits. You'll provide support during planning, organizing, and conducting of our projects involving the design and development of new evaluation and control processes utilizing statistical analysis and other control/risk mitigation techniques.
The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide. The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber. Must-haves:

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
• Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
• Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
• Considerable knowledge of Quality System requirements and contract quality requirements
• Extensive experience in manufacturing and inspection
• Proficient ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics, parts lists, specifications, instructions, and test procedures
• Considerable knowledge of ISO9001, AS9001 standards
• Excellent communication skills

Preferred:

• Experience in the aerospace and defense industry
• The ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance (may be required)
• Working knowledge of J-STD, GD&T and IPC standards
• Non-Conforming material management, Root Cause and Corrective/ Preventive Action, trend analysis
• ASQ Certification, Lean 6 Sigma certification
• Work ethics, enthusiasm, good listening skills, excellent collaborator, respectful and willing to help and support others
