Job Description
This position is part of LM MFC Dallas (Grand Prairie) Operations Quality Engineering team. The selected candidate for this role will maintain a culture and attitude of continuous improvement while providing Quality Engineering support to produce Printed Wiring Boards, Circuit Card Assemblies, and Wiring Harnesses.
What you will do
Apply quality principles in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings, and procedures.
Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms, and equipment; conducts product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Possess a continuous improvement mindset through involvement in product, process, and surveillance audit/assessment activities, complete Hardware Quality Audits (HQAs) and Foreign Object Elimination (FOE) Walk Downs, Work Audit findings to root cause and implement corrective and preventive measures, etc.
Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
Engage in product failure investigations, material review board decisions and corrective/preventive action.
Ensure corrective measures meet acceptable reliability standards and/or are compliant with requirements.
Develop strategies and processes to improve internal and/or supplier performance and productivity.
Evaluate quality systems for deficiencies identification and recommend correction actions.
Investigates and works non-conformance issues through to root cause/corrective action.
Seeking recent or Fall 2023 graduate to begin in January 2024.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in an Engineering discipline (Electrical, Industrial, Computer, Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, etc.) or equivalent experience/combined education. Entry level.
Must be a US citizen eligible to receive a Secret Clearance.
Desired skills
Manufacturing experience in Circuit Card Assembly, Wiring Harnesses, Printed Wiring Boards.
ASQ certification Six Sigma green belt certification (Problem Solving - Root cause analysis).
Familiarity with industry standards (AS9100, ISO 9001, IPC and J-STD).
Experience conducting First Article Inspections to AS9102 and working with government customers.
SAP experience a plus.
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T).
Organized with attention to detail.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Colorado Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $50,300 - $96,400. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full time employees: accrue 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO); receive 40 hours of Granted PTO annually for incidental absences; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of PTO per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO is prorated based on hours worked and start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $57,800 - $108,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
