Quality Engineer

We are seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our team at our facility located in Lansing, MI, 48150. As a Quality Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of quality are maintained throughout our manufacturing processes. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with AS9100 Experience, GD&T, and PPAP Process Experience to contribute to our organization's success.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality control plans and procedures
• Conduct inspections and tests to identify defects and non-conformities
• Analyze quality data and provide recommendations for improvement
• Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
• Ensure compliance with IATF or AS9100 standards and customer requirements
• Support the development and maintenance of quality documentation, including control plans, work instructions, and inspection procedures
• Conduct internal and external audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement
• Provide training and guidance to employees on quality-related topics
• Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues and improve supplier performance
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Quality Engineering

• Previous experience working with AS9100 standards
• Proficiency in GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of quality control tools and methodologies
• Experience conducting audits and inspections
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Previous Military and Defense manufacturing experience is a plus.
