Onsite: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Flint Assembly on a full-time basis.
The Role: Support vehicle engineering in the Implementation of the Quality Requirements. Monitor consistency to Global Metric Definitions and Performance. Maintain documentation of Launch Manufacturing Quality Readiness Reviews. Actively participate in Plant Quality Manager Meetings & Launch Quality Manager Meetings. Manage projects as requested from Quality Shop Director. Proficiency and knowledge of the elements of the GM Quality System / GMS BIQ and of the Quality Launch Plan. Proficiency and knowledge of the requirements in the Global Quality Manual.
What You’ll Do :
Ability to coach, teach and audit elements of GM Quality Manual and GMS BIQ Principle and Elements.
Managerial Courage to provide direct, honest, constructive feedback to Plant Staffs / Executive Leadership in a subtle and professional manner. Present the Assembly Plant and Engineering Staff with clear problem definition, technical mentorship on complex problems, and regular updates on progress.
Support Launch of new products in the plant when applicable. Maintain updates to Quality Requirements.
Maintain Quality Requirement deviations from plants. Maintain Cost of Quality reports by Plant.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Quality or Engineering Experience
Keeps abreast of current product developments and trends in areas of expertise
Actively looks for opportunities to drive change and continuous improvement with current practices & processes.
Exercises independent judgment in managing complex and ambiguous tasks with minimal input from Manager.
Demonstrated ability to attain results, while balancing technical solutions with business imperatives.
Must excel at problem solving – root cause, containment, robust long-term solutions.
Thorough understanding and capacity to effectively operate in all areas of the plant production process.
Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to lead diverse/cross-functional teams as well as mentor, motivate and elicit work output from peers and other team members.
Effective communicator with solid oral and written presentation skills.
What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
Bachelor's in engineering
Proficient use of GSIP, ECM, Excel, PRTS, SPPS, GQTS, Teamcenter, & MPDs and Microsoft Office Programs.
Red X Technical Problem Solving Experience
