Quality Engineer

Job Functions:

• Review regulatory standards to stay abreast of issues in the field of quality control
• Verify raw materials, special processing, purchased parts or components, in-process samples, and finished products meet established testing and inspection standards.
• Review quality documentation necessary for customer/regulatory submissions and inspections.
• Review standard operating procedures or quality assurance manuals.
• Participate in the development of product specifications.
• Instruct vendors or contractors on quality guidelines, testing procedures, or ways to eliminate deficiencies.
• Identify quality problems or areas for improvement and recommend solutions.
• Instruct staff in quality control
• Identify critical points in the manufacturing/quality process and communicate with the respective manager
• Document testing procedures, methodologies, or criteria.
• Assist with the implementation of inspection and testing criteria or procedures.
• Communicate quality control information to all relevant organizational departments, outside vendors, or contractors.
• Analyze quality control test results and provide feedback and interpretation to production management or staff.
• Communicate product testing activities throughout production cycles.
• Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and Harlow Aerostructures
