This Quality Engineer will communicate with suppliers to drive design and process improvements as well as responding to customer feedback.
Responsibilities will include:
- Work with suppliers to establish and maintain audit schedules.
- Execute on-site and virtual audits of suppliers and third-party manufacturers to assure compliance with global and ISO standards.
- Provide clear and factual feedback to suppliers in the form of written reports including observations and assessment of corrective and preventive actions to remediate gaps.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customer audits.
- Conduct all audit activities including opening and closing meetings, establishment of agendas, and coordinating with auditing team members.
- Utilize critical thinking for timely resolution of customer audit findings through accurate reporting, assessment, and information tracing to determine root cause of any failures.
- Follow through on corrective actions, verification of effectiveness and timely closure of audit reports for both supplier and customer audits.
- Prepare and submit required quality records and documentation for closure and filing.
- Lend support and assistance to the Quality Manager with projects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in quality or systems management; experience in the FDA industry is a plus.
- Experience working with Google Suite is a plus.
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, planning, and documentation skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to bring values and a sense of ownership to the position.
- Ability to take direction as well as initiative.
- Team work.
