The Quality Assurance Internship is one discipline of IDEMIA North America’s 12-week Summer Internship Program. The Quality Assurance Engineer is an integral part of the Professional Services team and acts as a tester for various projects creating solutions that meet customer needs relating to implementation, testing and maintenance. The intern will participates in all phases of a project, from user story creation and review, test plan and test case design, execution of test cases during and creation defects in defect tracking tool.
Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Develop test cases to exercise software features and potentially automate tests so they can be run regularly as part of continuous integration
- Contribute through participation in agile development to the design and execution of functional, negative, performance, and stress tests for IDEMIA’s products
- Impact through your recommended modifications to processes and procedures, and directly contribute to standard methodologies, QA processes, and guidelines
- Work with various teams (development, product owners, analysts and senior Test team members) to support customer’s needs and debug problems found during the test cycle
Position Requirements:
- You are a college junior, senior, or recent graduate majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related curriculum with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Must be authorized to work in the US
- Basic knowledge (demonstrated experience) in the following programming languages: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Java Server / Client, C, C++, C#, Java or Python
- Understanding of software quality engineering processes, agile framework, tools, methods, test development, algorithms and data structures
- Demonstrated ability to learn relevant technologies
- Robust communication (written and verbal), collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Drive and eagerness to learn
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in previous software quality assurance Engineering Internship or projects
- Passion for innovative technologies and security/identity related issues
