We are seeking a skilled Quality Control Technician - CMM Operations for the world's largest UAV client located in the South Bay market. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the accuracy and quality of their products using advanced measurement equipment, including the FARO Roaming Arm and the 3D dimensional software Polyworks.
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm (possible later start, requesting a flexible schedule)
Assignment: Contract to hire
Compensation: Commensurable upon experience

Location: South SF
Payrate DOE: $32-$40hr
To succeed in this contract to hire role, you'll be tasked with the following day to day duties:
CMM Operation:
- Utilize the FARO Roaming Arm and Polyworks software to measure complex parts and components.
- Maintain and Recommend changes to CMM inspection routines to meet stringent quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure measurement processes align with product specifications.
3D Dimensional Analysis:
- Perform detailed 3D dimensional analysis on machined parts, assemblies and other components.
- Identify and report deviations from design specifications.
Inspection:
- Conduct thorough inspections on parts, components and assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Document and report inspection results accurately, and initiate non-conformance reports when necessary.
Quality Documentation:
- Generate comprehensive inspection reports and maintain detailed records of inspection data.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of Quality Control processes and procedures.
● ASQ Certified Quality Inspector is preferred.
● Proven experience in CMM operation and strong knowledge of dimensional measurement techniques and GD&T
● Proficiency in interpreting drawings and specifications.
● Excellent attention to detail and problem solving skills. Strong communication skills for collaboration within cross functional teams.
● Familiarity with Quality Control standards and inspection methodologies.
Bonus Qualifications
● Industry background with medical devices or aerospace
● Inspection Certifications such as IPC-A610, IPC- 612, IPC-620 or ASQ CQI
● Experience operating Keyence IM8030-T Optical Measurement System
● Experience operating a FARO Arm
● Experience with Polyworks or Calypso.
