Quality Control Technician
Compensation: $18 - $21 per hour

POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Aggregate Quality Control Technician ensures the quality and conformity of aggregate materials used in construction projects. This role involves conducting various tests, inspections, and analyses on aggregates to ensure they meet specified standards and project requirements. The Aggregate QC Tech works closely with the production team to monitor and improve processes, troubleshoot quality issues, and maintain accurate records. This position requires adherence to all company standards, policies, and procedures and compliance with all federal and state regulations, including OSHA, MSHA, TCEQ, etc.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sample Collection: Collect representative samples of aggregate materials from production sites, stockpiles, and delivery points.
Testing Procedures: Perform various tests on aggregate materials, including but not limited to gradation analysis, moisture content, abrasion resistance, specific gravity, and particle shape.
Quality Inspection: Conduct visual inspections to ensure that aggregates meet specified standards for size, shape, cleanliness, and other quality parameters.
Documentation: Record and maintain accurate data and test results. Prepare comprehensive reports detailing findings and communicate results to relevant stakeholders.
Calibration: Regularly calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and project specifications.
Process Improvement: Collaborate with the production team to identify and implement process improvements to enhance the overall quality of aggregate materials.
Troubleshooting: Investigate and address quality issues, deviations, or non-compliance with established standards. Provide recommendations for corrective actions.
Communication: Effectively communicate with production personnel, project managers, and other stakeholders regarding Quality Control issues, test results, and recommendations.
Safety: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment during testing activities.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred. Meet minimum MVR requirements.
Computer Skills: Experience with Microsoft Office products and some ability to adapt to other computer software.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Work in all weather conditions within reason, keeping the safety of oneself and the team in mind.
- Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary
- This position will be considered for night shift roles if available. Evening and night shifts may be expected.
