Quality Control Specialist

Responsibilities

The position is responsible for managing the quality system to verify that it is being maintained in compliance with requirements of ISO9001:2015 and contract specific requirements. Measuring and reporting on the effectiveness of the quality system, providing maintenance and inspections, also measuring and testing equipment and the calibration system. This candidate should be able to track internal and external NCR’s (nonconformity reports) and maintain document control. Review NCR’s and if corrective action is needed review with teams periodically. Also, investigate NCR’s and implement corrective action to eliminate the reoccurrence. This employee should be able to launch initiatives to improve built-in-quality, and to reduce scrap and rework. Also help lead monthly management review meetings.

Required Qualifications

· Experience in CNC machining (required)

· Analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills

· Computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.)

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Creativity

· Knowledge of the ISO 9001:2015 standards

· General knowledge of manufacturing and engineering departments, and how their operations produce various parts

· Ability to read and interpret a print

· Ability to use basic gaging equipment

Required Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant industry
• Background in Lean Manufacturing
• Previous experience in tool & die
