Job Description:Quality Control Specialist
Background
Blueprint is a growing software company servicing the mortgage industry. We build software solutions to automate manual and tedious workflows to speed up the process of underwriting a mortgage loan.
We were founded in 2013 and have had double digit growth every year. We excel as a fully remote, distributed team. We were doing work from home before it was cool.
Our clients are major banks, lenders, credit unions, brokers, and government agencies.
The Role
This role provides a bridge between our software which scans tax forms and the final income analysis provided to our clients. This role audits and reviews the loans that are flagged by our software for needing human review. As a QC specialist you will be making adjustments to loan files, reading income documentation, and providing feedback to our development team. This role is focused on auditing and confirming the technology did the job correctly.
This role can not be replaced with technology, as we must audit a fraction of all of our work for continuous improvement. Some amount of human oversight of the technology will always be required.
This role will be fully remote.

Blueprint has three primary teams. Here is how they relate to each other.
Sales brings in the new clients and transfers them to Operations
Engineering develops new product for the clients to use
Operations bridges Sales and Engineering and acts as the voice of the customer
Specific Duties
Completion of Blueprint’s Quality Control training course
Reviewing of tax forms and income documents to support Automation QC service
Reviewing client tax forms and comparing to values in the Blueprint software
Checking for omissions by the Blueprint software in correctly adding income to the file
Checking for errors by the Blueprint software in correctly entering income to the file
Providing regular feedback to the engineering team about trends in errors and omissions in the Blueprint software performance.
Provide support to engineering team by assisting with additional auditing of Blueprint software
Required Skills / Capabilities
Reliable home office environment. You may be in web meetings with other team members and the ability to control your environment, background noise, etc is essential.
Home internet connection
Proficiency with MS Office / Google Suite for word processing, spreadsheet, etc
Pass background check (FIDC requirement)
Supplemental Skills
Familiarity with the mortgage industry or the underwriting process is a plus
Familiarity with reading and identifying tax forms is a big plus
