We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality Control Manager to lead our Quality Control function in alignment with Quality Assurance system requirements, goals, and objectives. In this pivotal role, you will manage certifications, and coordinate internal/external ISO, and customer audits. As the Quality Control Manager, you will organize and maintain Quality Control activities to optimize resources and achieve departmental results, setting objectives for both yourself and Quality Control personnel to align with company goals.

Responsibilities:


  • Manage the Quality Control function in accordance with Quality Assurance system requirements.
  • Coordinate internal/external ISO and customer audits.
  • Communicate directly with key customer team members on internal inspection procedures and newly developed processes.
  • Plan, coordinate, and lead the Quality Control program to ensure continuous production and service consistent with established standards.
  • Identify and resolve problems swiftly, implementing controlled and workable solutions.
  • Represent the customers perspective to enhance work activities and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and ensure adherence to job-specific quality plans.
  • Maintain and provide key quality metrics, such as supplier OTD, supplier quality, FPY, COPQ, etc.
  • Participate in Vendor Surveys for qualification, ongoing surveillance, and corrective action efforts.
  • Maintain the Quality Control Manual in accordance with Quality Assurance requirements.

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Minimum five years of related experience in Quality Control functions, including dimensional inspection, code compliance (AWS, NEC, etc.), calibration systems/records.
  • Previous experience operating in a continuous improvement or ISO 9000 environment is preferred.
  • Ability to supervise 15 to 25 non-exempt employees.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proven experience in addressing complaints, resolving problems, and managing performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
