1. Establishes starting formulas for Compounding production.
   1. Verify Maguire feed systems, formulation, and single pigments are setup correctly by Lead Operator.
   2. Adjust color and Maguire feed systems if color does not startup within tolerances to Master standard.

1. Run Pilot Extrusion line. Spins and verifies color at Start Ups, during color adjusting, post blending of finished product, and any Nylon concentrates purchased from outside Vendors.
   1. Weigh up concentrate to spin and verify against Standard.
   2. Verify color in Color software. Adjust color and Maguire feed if needed and retest.
   3. Maintains all material levels. Lab Pigment retains, Lab supplies, and Waste removal.
   4. Maintain specifications on Pilot line and all lab equipment.
   5. Process change Pilot line specs average 5 times day due to multi polymer changes.
   6. Change packs on Pilot line. Average 3 pack changes within 24-hour period.
   7. Average 24 color changes or adjustments per 8 hours.
   8. Completes Pilot line specifications and trouble shoots if Pilot Extrusion line is not running well.
   9. Operation of the feed systems, extrusion, compounding line, and blenders.
   10. Assist in trouble shooting color/processing issues from Extrusion by spinning and completing physical property testing.

1. Completes all testing of physical properties and record. SU, QC, and R&D for outside department tests performed:
   1. Test all Start-up, QC, Color Matches, and qualify all incoming concentrates from outside vendors.
   2. Pellet count, Density, Melt flow index, Moisture testing, Pressure Rise, Film press, Pucks, Plaques, Ash, and Clump
   3. Plaque incoming Single pigment dispersions
   4. Adjust colors to match Master standards and retest.
   5. Fills out COA's and entering into database on computer
   6. Document and file all concentrate formulas.

1. Lift truck certified. Stock items for Pilot line and Lab: Spin finish, cones, collect incoming samples from supply room, remove cone and bale waste

1. 5 day / 8 hour or 24 / 7 rotating shifts with possibility of overtime.

1. Physical requirements: Examples listed, but not limit to.
   1. Run Extrusion pilot line:

i. Climb steps (~25 steps): 30x shift

1. 1. Aspirator and aspirator hose:
2. Swinging motion ~15 pounds, throughout shift.
   1. Change Packs:

1. Reach overhead supporting ~25 pounds applying ~50 pounds of torque
   1. Carry weights:

1. Lab pellets: Carry buckets of resin (~25 pounds). Pour mix pellets into waste box.
   1. Mount/Dismount Powered industrial lift truck.
   2. Bending, stretching, extend reach:

1. Into waste bins, pellet box, doffing cones, bale waste, etc.

1. Mathematical skills. (Must pass basic math test)

1. Identify color shades. (Must pass color blindness test.)

1. Has knowledge of all testing instruments, and all related testing and job function procedures. Knowledge of materials science.

1. Knowledge of color science/ basic math functions; use of computer excel spreadsheets, database, AS400, lotus notes.

1. Shipping
   1. Ship approved lots in a timely manner.

1. Housekeeping
   1. Keep the lab area clean and equipment functional.
   2. Empty the trash, purge drum, mixed pigment drum.
   3. Contain waste for reuse.

1. Safety
   1. First aid responder and CPR/AED certified.
   2. Re-enforce safety policy through group and one-on-one discussions.
   3. Report and ensure equipment is in safe condition.
   4. Awareness of operators working for code red and code blue accountability.
   5. Conduct safety meetings.
