Responsibilities:
- Inspects machined parts per unit using multiple inspection equipment, typically one-to-two-piece parts. Ensures that machined parts adhere to standards and procedures and comply with job specifications.
- Reviews blueprints and specifications to compare to produced parts.
- Use precision hand tools to inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and conformity to specifications.
- Keeps measurement equipment operating accurately by following calibration requirements and calling for repairs.
- Occasionally deburr and polish parts.
- Completes required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma/GED.
- Quality control experience (minimum 1 year)
- Work experience with shop math proficiency and strong mechanical aptitude; basic math skills required.
- Demonstrates proficiency with reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Experience using tools of precision measurement such as calipers, dial gauges and micrometers, and the ability to use basic hand and power tools for set up and finishing parts.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to stand more than 80% of the time.
- This position needs to constantly move about the manufacturing floor with ease.
- Ability to constantly operate precision measuring tools.
- Requires frequent verbal and written communication with team, manager, and other staff.
- Must be able to frequently move parts, components, and tooling weighing up to 50 lbs.
