General Description
The Quality Supervisor will provide quality system design and analysis review to validate the integrity of quality decisions that affect Truform products and will interface with company employees, suppliers, customers, and internal and external auditors to ensure quality compliance to customer requirements. Execute supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Truform policies and procedures.
Description of Position and Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate work activities of inspectors
- Ensure proper communication on quality matters with both customers and suppliers
- Coordinate with production to ensure quality support and coverage is available as needed
- Responsible for the coordination of gage calibration
- Above average ability to read blueprints and create Inspection Plans including key characteristics and dimensions.
- Manage Receiving Inspection of all sub tier supplier processes, including cert compliance to requirements.
- Analyze contractual, product definition and specification requirements for the development or modification of methods, procedures and metrics needed to ensure that quality standards and practices are attained.
- Analyze and provide material review dispositions for nonconforming materials, parts, gages, and measuring equipment.
- Define and implement actions to measure, improve and report product quality, including supplier quality.
- Participate in product reviews to ensure that quality system integrity and business process management objectives are met.
- Perform root cause analysis for all TruForm internal, and customer initiated DMR’s.
- Facilitate and/or is a resource for corrective actions that have been assigned to other functions.
- Lead and perform internal/external compliance/performance audits.
- Maintain metrics to measure quality performance.
- Document discrepancies and propose improvement actions to avoid recurrence and ensure Long Term Corrective Actions are implemented.
- Ensure customer quality related complaints are responded to in a timely and effective manner.
- Support and train other quality and operator associates as needed to ensure risks of rejections are minimized.
- Write, review, revise and approve TruForm Quality Management System (QMS) documentation
- Maintain QMS and process requirements
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant on the job related experience
- 2 – 5 years Quality experience with progressive levels of responsibility
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Aerospace tolerance machining experience preferred
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with Shoptech E2 / JobBoss manufacturing software is a plus, but not required.
- Strong understanding of AS9100
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated leadership and communication skills, including a high level of experience is a plus.
- Ability to define problem, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
- Ability to measure and record KPC data.
- Must have demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
