Overview
The quality engineer is responsible for the generation of a strategic plan to improve the business processes and increase production output. Duties include creating/updating the company's quality standards and testing systems to reflect efficiency, reliability, and performance. Quality engineers are also responsible for the creation of documentation that reports issues and errors relating to the production process with efforts placed to find a solution.

Responsibilities
- Develop/improve inspection methods to analyze product quality.
- Improve product quality by making recommendations for changes and implementing changes.
- Work together with relevant teams and departments to improve products.
- Ensure products adhere to company and industry quality standards.
- Brainstorm ideas to create solutions for identified problems.
- Lead and support all audits including layered audits and daily rapid response items.
- Document results and findings after inspections are carried out.
- Implement a working system to ensure conformity and accuracy in the production process.
- Analyzes data by completing hypothesis, normal distribution, and process capability analysis tests.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data which drives recommendations.
- Determines quality improvement parameters by identifying statistical methods relevant to manufacturing processes.
Qualifications
- ASQ-quality engineer certification preferred or able to obtain within a reasonable period of time.
- 2 year degree minimum
- SPC experience a plus
- Strong math skills required.
- Extensive experience in a quality assurance environment required.
- High proficiency in computer technology and systems operations. Experience with data analysis software a plus.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Root Cause analysis experience preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be proficient in the use of standard hand tools, measurement and test equipment such as, but not limited to, Calipers, Micrometers, and Torque Wrenches
- Bilingual is a plus
