Job description

ELMis seeking a Quality Control Auditor/Trainer in Las Vegas, Nevada. The primaryrole is to increase the quality of work performed in Nevada and will be basedout of the Las Vegas office. This person will have daily contact with Managers,Supervisor and Field Technicians, and will utilize the Star training program totrain new Field Technicians.  Job dutieswill be performed with the assistance and/or coordination of the local Supervisorsand Area Managers.  Staying compliantwith all customers OQ programs will be the trainer's responsibility. Professionalcommunication with all management and customers is essential and vital to the trainerposition. Office hours and schedule may vary.

Your specific duties in this rolewill include, but not be limited to:
 
  • Utility auditing will be performed when training is not in session.
  • Integrate retraining needs into the training program.
  • Conduct ride-alongs to qualify technicians
  • When auditing, some time is spent in the field environment with some administrative work required, and this person will be exposed to all field hazards. 
  • Occasional lifting materials up to 50 pounds is required.
  • Must be able to travel to various locations for extended period, up to two weeks, within the state to perform training sessions.
 
Specific qualifications for the positioninclude:
 
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen, background check, physical, and random drug screens
  • Must have at least 1 year of experience in the utility industry and 1 year of underground locating experience.
  • Qualified applicants must have effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Applicants must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite / Word and Excel experience is a plus
  • Previous training experience is preferred.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license with good driving record
