Quality Control Assistant

Xertech Specialties is producer of ceramic materials located just outside in Pacific, MO. We are focused on refractory ceramics for the petrochemical, steel, and nonferrous industries.

Job Description

The QC Assistant is responsible for processing samples, raw materials qualification, assisting in QA and R&D projects, analytical testing, and supporting the technical department overall.

Position is Full Time, First Shift Weekdays; however, Part Time may be considered depending on candidate.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare specimens from production for testing and perform physical property evaluations for Quality Assurance
• Participate in Research and Development projects
• Evaluate incoming raw materials for use in production
• Maintain a lab inventory of raw materials for use in lab sample preparation
• Maintain a clean working area and assist with maintenance of laboratory and storage areas
• Provide back-up support for production as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Be able to work in a self driven, detail oriented manner

Job Requirements

• High School Diploma or pursuant to Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Vocational Degree
• Qualified candidates will possess excellent self-management and communication skills
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel
• Must be able to lift and carry 55 lbs.
• No experience necessary, but prior experience in a lab or manufacturing setting is preferred
