Quality Control-1St Shift

Quality Control Responsibilities:

• Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors, 1st piece inspection on setups of dies, in process, final inspection and random sampling of outgoing products for shipping.
• Verify measuring tools are calibrated and in good condition prior to each use.
• Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
• Discuss quality concerns with Dept. Supervisors/Leads and tool room if necessary.
• Read blueprints, plans and specifications to understand the requirements of products and services.
• Document all inspections in QC software and on the paper routers.
• Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to specifications.
• Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
• Document inspection outcomes by completing detailed reports and performance records.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Experience using measuring tools (Calipers, micrometers, height gages, dial indicators)
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Good math and technical abilities
• Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds
• Must have reliable transportation
