Our company, a leader in the Manufacturing industry, is seeking a passionate, detail-oriented, and bilingual Permanent Quality Chemist to join our dynamic team. This unique role is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional with a background in chemistry and a love for the culinary arts. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of ingredients, flavors, and bakery recipes, and a strong commitment to safety. This position requires a candidate who can fluently communicate in both English and Spanish.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Quality Chemist, you will be at the heart of our operations, ensuring the quality and safety of our products. Your key responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting rigorous quality control tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
2. Developing and improving bakery recipes, focusing on the enhancement of flavors and textures.
3. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations at all stages of the manufacturing process.
4. Collaborating with the production team to resolve any quality-related issues.
5. Documenting and reporting on all tests and analyses conducted.
6. Conducting research on new ingredients and flavor profiles, contributing to product development initiatives.
7. Providing technical support and training to other team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
8. Communicating effectively with suppliers, clients, and team members in both English and Spanish.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this exciting role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Fluent in both English and Spanish.
4. Strong knowledge of ingredients, flavors, and bakery recipes.
5. Proven experience in conducting quality control tests and analyses.
6. A strong commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of safety regulations within the manufacturing industry.
7. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
8. A problem-solving mindset, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
9. Proficiency in using laboratory equipment and software.
10. A passion for food and a creative approach to flavor and recipe development.
