Quality Auditor 2Nd Shift (2Pm - 10Pm)

Job summary

· Inspect metal stamping materials, welded components and/or finished goods for conformance to customer specifications.

Summary of essential job functions

· Perform First/Last Piece audits to verify dimensions of finished parts for conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauge blocks, micrometers, and dial indicators.

· Authority to accept or reject finished items.

· Inspect, test or measure metal stampings being produced. Weld destruct if in the Weld Department.

· Input and/or report data generated from audits and other sources as needed into various software programs.

· Prepares bar code labels for containers.

· Organize and maintain finished goods in the quarantine area.

· Interpret engineering drawings, diagrams or confers with other TTD Management to determine quality & reliability standards.

· Maintain up-to-date manual for each metal stamping for either the Press and/or Weld Department.

· Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor and/or TTD Management representatives.

· Authority to stop production if unsafe conditions or poor quality exist.

Minimum requirements

· Requires a high school diploma and/or GED. Technical schooling with and emphasis in mathematics and mechanical principles is preferred.

· Knowledge and application of Quality Systems, such as TS16949 is preferred.

· Previous and relevant experience in a Quality function within a manufacturing environment, preferably metal stamping.

· Proficiency in various Microsoft Programs, such as Outlook, Word and Excel.

· Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to assure delivery requirements.

· Meet or exceed the job requirements of the job.
