Description:
This client's Retail Applications team is looking for x2 QA to join the team and help with a transition to a different payment gateway and redeploy new EMV devices throughout all Retail locations. The 3rd party vendor is Aptos point of sale and having Aptos experience would be a huge plus. The client just completed a large version upgrade with Aptos and now they need to validate that the new EMV devices and payment gateway works properly throughout the entire ecosystem. Will need experience with pin pad testing of the devices to make sure the screens progress as expected and the devices transact all different types of tender, void a sale, return a sale etc..
This team is new to their QA practice and these resources will be expected to help define and structure their process. Most of this team is on their first year with this application so we need consultants that are highly experienced with retail applications. The team is small but nimble and very collaborative. To be successful in this role you will need to have excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
•Experience with retail POS systems and pin pad connections. (If they have experience with another company using Aptos POS, even better!)
•Experience with retail payment gateway testing.
•QA experience in collaboration with external vendors. This project requires QA in collaboration three additional teams external.
•Strong test case documentation and planning.
•Strong IT troubleshooting experience. Our testing environment has it’s challenges in stability and sometimes requires troubleshooting across servers.
•In-person pin pad testing is required in test lab.
•QA Automation experience is not required as our testing is all manual.
This is a hybrid role that will require onsite testing work during the testing cycle of the project. That will be around 1 month to 1.5 months. Creating test scripts and plans can be done remote but its necessary to be onsite in the testing lab to physically test the devices.
