Quality Assurance Technician

The Quality Assurance Technicianexamines materials and products to check for flaws and deviations from original specifications. They have many responsibilities, including reading specifications and drawings, making recommendations for adjustments to assembly and production processes, determining whether to accept or reject items, inspecting and testing materials and products, and reporting on inspection results.
Duties:

• Perform quality tests on items throughout the production process, from raw materials to intermediate stages to final product.
• Use test results to recommend changes to the production process as necessary for efficiency and quality.
• Inspect all received materials to ensure adherence to company quality standards and report any variances to the appropriate departments.
• Maintain cleanliness and clean all equipment in testing areas.
• Perform on the floor audits of warehousing operations according to Quality Assurance procedures.
• Conducts internal audits for the manufacturing process.
• Ensure that all product has proper label.
• Review and evaluate all paperwork to disposition products for shipping.

Required:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Minimum of Technical associate degree or equivalent.
• Ability to understand technical documents, manuals, and architectural drawings to ensure that products meet the correct standards.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Analytical abilities with good attention to detail
• Ability to spend long periods of time standing.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in related field

Preferred

• One to three years of Quality Assurance experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Experience working with manufacturing systems.

Pay Details: $18.00 to $22.00 per hour
