Job Description
Position Purpose
This is an entry-level quality support role that is responsible for Quality inspections and reporting.The QA Technician will inspect incoming materials, Products during production, and loads before shipment for quality defects and adherence to the order specifications. The QA Technician will inspect cardboard packaging and pallets for any quality and report all findings to the defects in the product or stacking patterns. Communicate and/or write reports to be submitted to the Supplier, buyer, Sales Account Manager, and Customer as needed. Submit samples for laboratory testing.
Primary responsibilities:
This role will be responsible for Quality inspections at goods receipt, Pre-Production, during production, and before shipping. this role will inspect all incoming supplies with an AQL inspection process. Before production, the goods will be inspected to ensure they meet the requirements of the order and all the correct materials are being utilized. The role will additionally be responsible for the inspection process during production, ensuring that ware meets the customer requirements for quality, pack requirements, etc. This role will be responsible for Detailed investigations and reporting of quality issues to support supplier claims and corrective actions.
Additional responsibilities*
Must be a self-starter to ensure that quality concerns brought to their attention in the warehouse are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Computer skills such as Microsoft Excel are a must for this role and knowledge of AX is a plus. This role must additionally, manage the workflow for the inspection of incoming glass, production processes, and outbound shipments.Perform detailed complaint investigations including isolating inventory, measuring containers, or examining defects to reach root causes. Report any issues to the production line lead or supervisor on duty.Ensure all the quality procedures are followed (Production). Ensure all the quality procedures are followed during production. Minimum Requirements
Computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Excel.
High School diploma or equivalent.
