Quality Assurance Sample Technician

Quality Control Sample Technician:

• Shall maintain the Food Safety, Pre-requisite, and Quality programs at Oregon Spice Company.
• Sample received items per the positive release procedure.
• Ensure accuracy, integrity and safety of all received items.
• Schedule sample requests for Laboratory, Sales or Research and Development as needed.
• Perform regular checks of all assigned areas, review quality documents, evaluate incoming and finished product, report results and manage release and use of qualified ingredients.
• Enter data into QC trending spreadsheets accurately to ensure product control and release.
• Have the ability to effectively use e-mail, Excel, Word, Google docs, and MS NAV.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and on a team.
• Self-driven and motivated.
• Adapt to new duties when called upon. Available for over-time and weekend work when required.
• Ability to lift and move packaged ingredients weighing up to 60 pounds and drive a forklift.

• Demonstrated strong attendance in a prior role
• HACCP Certified, or can become HACCP certified within 6 months
