Custom Processing Services provides contract manufacturing/toll processing services to a wide variety of industries. Specialized processes center on particle size reduction using a number of methods including jaw crushing, pulverizing, micronizing and media milling. Additional services such as flash drying, surface treatments, blending, dispersing and packaging are also available. The Processing Pros provide new product development assistance from R&D concepts through their commercialization. In addition to CPS's technical grade facilities, a state-of-the art, dedicated building is available for cGMP processing.
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for the inspection and testing of manufacturing products to ensure the product quality. The quality technician will work with a variety of inspection and test equipment and methods, processes and products, ensuring proper procedures are being followed and documented in order to maintain product quality and records traceability. The quality technician will also assist to ensure nonconforming product is appropriately identified and removed from the production flow.
Job Responsibilities:
- Test and analyze samples from various production stages to ensure product quality
- Investigate non-conforming materials and returned goods, and report findings
- Generate data analysis reports
- Conduct root cause analysis for deviations
- Operate and maintain Quality Assurance equipment
- Prepare analytical reports such as Certificates of Analysis and Process Yields
- Assist in qualification and validation studies
- Prepare customer samples for shipment
- Review incoming receipts and perform product release as per QDoc-01
- Conduct inspections and assist in special projects
- Communicate inspection results and quality issues
- Monitor and report departmental metrics
- Participate in cross-functional teams
- Manage inventory and orders for lab consumables
- Develop testing methods for products
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in QC manufacturing
- Ability to work WEEKENDS either day or night 12-hour shift, with a SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
- Bachelor’s degree in STEM related field or equivalent job experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficiency in basic to mid-level mathematics
- Must be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner
- High energy, self-motivated, able to prioritize, etc.
