Quality Assurance Technical Analyst:
- Configure Testing Environments to meet DSS application and testing requirements.
- Configure DSS applications and VistA dependent applications.
- Ensures DSS applications execute correctly and accurately by assisting DSS’ Quality Assurance (QA) staff with technical issues involving InterSystems, Windows, SQL, and VistA database issues.
- Interfaces with internal and external clients to troubleshoot, define, analyze, report, and track issues encountered on Windows, Cloud environments, Windows workstations, VistA, and network components.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties:
- Supports DSS QA Staff members with application and testing environment technical issues.
- Manage user access to Servers, shared folders, VistA and SQL.
- Install InterSystems IRIS for Health and related software tools on DSS laptops and servers according to documented processes.
- Load VistA patches and dependencies on QA test servers according to documented procedures, sometimes after hours.
- Work with teams and team members on ad hoc projects that arise with internal and external customers.
- Create knowledge base documentation for new solutions and projects as needed.
- Interface with DSS partners to provide technical assistance for testing/debugging issues relating to use of DSS software products.
- Create, track and follow up on help desk tickets with QA, IT and external entities to ensure they’ve been fully resolved.
Other Duties:
- Train users, as needed on Servers, applications, technical requirements, and QA standard and operations processes.
- Conduct hardware testing, creating validation and documentation, as needed for specific projects.
- Work with teams and members on any additional tasks or projects as assigned.
- Afterhours work is required 5-10% of the time to do backups, installations and upgrades as needed.

- Individuals working for DSS will be subject to security and privacy requirements as explained in HIPAA, FedRAMP, and NIST 800-53. Additionally, they are required to undergo specific FedRAMP training to ensure compliance with all associated controls and responsibilities in the day-to-day performance of their duties. Individuals working in departments that are in the high-risk category will be required to undergo advanced training based on their role and level of access. Individuals with access to modified data and the configuration baseline will require further training.

Required:
- Verifiable experience with Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
- Verifiable experience with Windows 10 Professional, Windows Server 2019 & 2022, and Microsoft SQL.
- Experience installing and configuring printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices on workstations and on a network.
- Verifiable experience with network terminology and operation.
- Verifiable experience with Windows servers and workstation security permissions.
- Must possess analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Must be detail oriented.
- Must have good oral and written communication skills; also, possess good listening skills and exhibit a commitment to communicating in a clear, concise, and timely manner.
- Ability to organize time effectively while identifying barriers to management, proposing solutions, and setting priorities.
Education:
Required:
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in a relevant field of study or experience can be substituted for a formal degree.
Desired:
- College degree in Computer Science, Computer Information, Health Information or other related degree.
Certification(s), Licenses:
Required:
- Microsoft Technology Associate, A+ or equivalent experience.
Desired:
- Microsoft Certifications, i.e., Network +, Security +, SQL, or equivalent certifications.

Experience:
Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in a similar technical or helpdesk related role.
Desired:
- 1+ year(s) work experience in DSS, Inc.
- 1+ year(s) experience with InterSystems products.
