What you'll do:
- Manage and coordinate the Plant Quality Systems and Quality Group and solve quality problems in the plant
- Manage a staff of 2-13 quality inspectors
- Implementation and coordination of Plant SPC program, maintain Gainseeker, troubleshoot SPC computer issues and interface with IT to maintain system
- Responsible for Quality budgets
- Manage all plant and customer supplier audits
- Train and support Quality staff and conduct SPC training for hourly plant and salaried personnel
- Maintain quality systems (gages, computers, software, etc.)
- Make certificate of analysis for finished products being shipped to customers that require them
- Review and disposition of non-standard or suspect product in plant and/or at a customer’s location
- Review plant SPC data for quality of data and quantity of shift and line
- Facilitate corrective action responses for customer complaints and ensure correct action is implemented

What you'll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Math, Statistics, Engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum six (6) years related industrial experience
- Knowledge of SPC, quality systems management, project management, knowledge of good manufacturing practices, ISO 9000 familiarity, computer proficiency (Windows, ERP systems, word processing/spreadsheets, etc.), strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Post-graduate work in engineering or quality a plus
- ASQC Certified Quality Manager or Quality Engineer
- Minimum the (10) years related industrial experience in the packing industry
