ROLE SUMMARY:
Our Quality Assurance Specialists are integral to the essential environmental services we provide as they ensure that data generated by our laboratory meets all regulatory and client specific requirements. In this role you'll demonstrate your outstanding Quality Assurance skills as well as your commitment to high quality standards for our clients.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Ensure laboratory data meets regulatory and client requirements.
- Adhere to, and enforce analytical and company procedures.
- Perform data validation for analyses of water and soil samples.
- Compile data reports, including writing case narratives.
- Provide support to company employees in documenting and resolving issues related to data quality.
- Help develop and maintain required Quality Management System attributes.
- Create and revise laboratory Standard Operating Procedures - SOPs.
- Actively identify, investigate, correct and report on laboratory performance and quality issues.
- Initiate and investigate non-conformances; complete corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct internal audits and assist with external audits.
Core Competencies
- Solid understanding of quality system requirements (e.g., CAPA, NCR, cause analysis, document control).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must write and edit both technical and procedural documents and communicate policy changes to staff of varying levels of industry and quality system knowledge.
- Ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities and see projects through to completion.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook) and Electronic Document Management Systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent experience.
- 2 years of quality system experience.
- 2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, data validation, compliance and document control.
- Prefer experience with NCR, CAPA, ISO 17025, NELAP / TNI.
- Prefer environmental testing industry and analytical method knowledge.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
