SAIC is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Senior Principal to join our Corporate team.

The Quality Assurance Senior Principal will be responsible for developing and implementing programs/processes to establish and maintain quality standards of products and services; programs to focus employees on quality improvement; process, procedures and methods to validate product, material, components and/or operational quality and recommend improvements. May support the following areas: engineering, information technologies, business process improvement, etc. 

This position is 100% remote nationwide. Candidates local to the DC Metro area preferred.

Primary Responsibilities Include: 

  • Develop, modify, and maintain robust evaluation and control systems to ensure quality standards across engineering, procurement, and production functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish and define quality standards, ensuring adherence to best practices.
  • Devise and implement effective methods and procedures for analyzing, evaluating, and enhancing the precision and accuracy of processes and tools.
  • Apply advanced technical principles and concepts to create, modify, and track metrics and measures using SharePoint, MS Excel, Power BI and other relevant tools.
  • Analyze metrics and data to provide recommendations on administrative and organizational work matters, driving effective achievement of Quality Excellence, REC and organizational objectives.
  • Utilize lean/six-sigma quality methodologies and statistical analysis techniques to assess control and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct audits of quality and other systems, performing root cause analysis of incidents requiring corrective action.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of corrective measures and maintain compliant documentation per requirements.
  • Develop and manage SharePoint sites and tools for the REC and QE department, ensuring smooth operations and easy access to relevant information.
  • Assist in monitoring, reviewing, and publishing assets to the United Solutions Process Asset Library, contributing to the overall improvement of organizational processes.

Qualifications

 Required Education and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management), and minimum 14 years’ experience. 4 additional years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • 7 years’ experience specifically in Quality Assurance
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining evaluation and control systems, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Must have a broad Quality background including Quality Engineering, Quality Planning, Supplier Quality, Inspection and Test.
  • Experience and knowledge of the ISO9000 or AS9100 standard.
  • Must have strong leadership skills and be able to interface effectively with cross functional teams, multiple contractors and with the customer.
  • Strong proficiency in using SharePoint, MS Excel, and other relevant tools for metrics tracking and analysis.
  • Familiarity with lean/six-sigma quality methodologies and statistical analysis techniques.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Must have superior oral and written communication skills.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal skills to support multi-tier communications.
  • Must have the ability to operate without close supervision or immediate feedback.
  • Must have the ability to positively and optimistically handle multiple, simultaneous projects in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Must have strong knowledge of measurement/metrics analysis of processes.

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • ASQ Certifications (CQA, CSQE, CQE, and CMQ/OE)
  • Knowledge/credentials in lean and/or six-sigma quality methodologies to help drive continuous improvement
  • Experience with data analytics experience (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience monitoring supplier performance
  • Experience working DoD programs
  • SharePoint experience 
  • Experience in conducting quality audits and performing root cause analysis preferred.
