At Loving Hands Homecare Pediatric, we care for little miracles every day. We specialize in providing pediatric private-duty nursing in the home setting, serving the communities of Collier, Hendry, and Lee counties.
Position Overview: As a Clinical Quality Assurance team member, you will ensure the quality of care for pediatric patients in home health. Responsibilities include reviewing and auditing SOC, RECERT, DC, visit notes, eMar, and eTAR for compliance. Collaborate with RNs and Administrators for quality improvement and staff education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and audit start of care (SOC), recertifications (RECERT), discharge (DC), visit notes, Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMar), and Electronic Treatment Administration Record (eTAR) for proper documentation and timely notification to field staff.
- Review charts for quality of care rendered, including adherence to orders, appropriate contacts with physicians and other disciplines.
- Coordinate quality improvement efforts with RN Case Managers and Administrators, analyzing, reviewing, and reporting on notes, charts, charting trends, and Quality Assurance indicators.
- Prepare and submit weekly audit findings reports to the Case Manager Supervisor for review ahead of the weekly Quality Assurance and Management meeting.
- Resolve charting issues, recommend changes to procedures as necessary, and communicate directly with nursing staff to resolve issues.
- Educate nursing staff on proper documentation and quality improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with policies and procedures, including clinical documentation, to meet regulatory standards, including diagnosis codes, plans of care, and physician documents.
Requirements:
- Clinical background (LPN, CMA, MA)
- Bilingual: Fluency in English is required; basic Spanish proficiency is preferred
- Previous experience in home healthcare a plus.
- Demonstrate excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, along with strong organizational, multitasking, and time management abilities to meet hard deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Results-oriented and able to work both independently and within a team environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Familiarity with EMR system.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, Teams & Outlook).
- Must be able to work in our Fort Myers office Monday through Friday 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
