Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance and Regulatory Manager to ensure the integrity of our organization’s high quality seed oil products.

As the leader of the Quality Assurance and Regulatory initiatives of Natural Plant Products LLC, you will establish and direct the quality and regulatory programs and systems to achieve related objectives for our company. You will collaborate closely with our production, customer service, logistics, and other partners to achieve our mission of providing premium plant-based oils to consumers worldwide. This role will serve as an industry technical contact, developing partnerships with global customers and partners, and create a repository for regulatory and quality focused knowledge and information.

This position reports to the CEO.

Job Responsibilities

· Developing Quality Management Systems: Design, implement, and maintain quality management systems to ensure compliance with international and domestic industry standards, regulations, and customer requirements.

· Quality Assurance Planning: Develop Quality Assurance plans and strategies to optimize processes and minimize defects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality into all stages of product development and manufacturing.

· Quality Control: Establish and enforce quality control processes to monitor and evaluate product and service quality. Conduct inspections, tests, and audits to identify non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

· Regulatory Compliance: Stay current with regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to the organization's products and services. Ensure compliance with ISO, GMP, or other regulatory bodies as applicable.

· Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. Utilize data analysis and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective and preventive actions.

· Vendor Quality Management: Collaborate with vendors to establish quality requirements, evaluate supplier performance, and address quality issues in the supply chain.

· Training and Development: Provide training and guidance to employees on quality policies, procedures, and best practices. Foster a culture of quality and accountability throughout the organization.

· Risk Management: Identify and assess quality-related risks, develop risk mitigation strategies, and implement controls to prevent quality-related incidents.

· Customer Satisfaction: Monitor customer feedback and satisfaction levels to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure alignment with customer expectations.

· Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of quality activities, including inspection reports, test results, and corrective actions. Prepare regular reports on quality performance and present findings to senior management.

· Issue Resolution: Oversee the implementation of an effective Quality Event Management System. Ensure investigation, documentation, and resolution of any product quality issues, including customer complaints, product recalls, and non-conformities in manufacturing.

Required Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, chemical engineering, or related field is required.

· Six (6) or more years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance/Quality Control within the vegetable oil, cosmetics, or personal care industry.

· Robust understanding of global cosmetics/skincare regulations, quality systems, GMP, ISO standards, and best practices.

· Proven experience in Quality Assurance or quality control roles, preferably in vegetable oil or chemical manufacturing, cosmetics/personal care, or other related and regulated industry.

· Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean).

· Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.

· Effective leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate others.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.

· Attention to detail and a commitment to continuous improvement.

· This position may require infrequent domestic travel to employer or vendor work sites.

Preferred Skills:

· A master’s degree is strongly preferred.

· Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Manager) is highly desirable.

· Knowledge of vegetable oil extraction and/or refining is a plus

Note: Position will be approximately 32hrs per week to begin. Hourly rate will be determined based on experience.

Pay: $36.00 - $52.00 per hour
