Quality Assurance Manager

Northfield Industries is hiring a Quality Assurance Manager for a full-time position in Schaumburg, IL.

We are looking for a full time Quality Assurance Manager to join our team and lead our quality department.

Job Responsibilities:

• Manage quality team members including employee expectations and training
• Lead customer correspondence of escalated quality items with professionalism and excellent verbal/written communication.
• Manage and oversee the CAPA system. Evaluate non-conformances for root cause, coordinate the implementation of corrective actions, verify effectiveness of corrective actions, and initiate customer notification or recall
• Coordinate customer and vendor returns (RMA) and manage rework processes, as required
• Oversees the non-conforming material review process
• Manage and oversee completion of PPAP documentation including Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Mode & Effect Analysis, Control Plans, FAI, Capability Studies, GR&R, etc.
• Maintain and control internal calibration system
• Owns and manages the process and procedures to maintain certification and applicable regulatory requirements, as needed and assigned, including ISO 9001
• Lead internal & external audit activities
• Determine requirements for statistical techniques in production. Implement and monitor statistical techniques.
• Evaluate & improve Supplier Quality Performance (domestic and oversea supplier)
• Other duties required to meet company needs as assigned by management team

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
• Experience in CMM programming is preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Manager Role
• 3 years of QMS with ISO experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret specifications including technical drawings, blue prints, GD&T.
• Good communication skills including the ability to receive oral and written instruction and provide information to internal and external customers, visitors, vendors and employees.
• Strong ability to pay attention to details.
• Expertise in measuring gage.
• Self-Disciplined and self-motivated
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques.
