Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the ISO 9001 / AS9100 Aerospace Representative and maintain the Quality System to ISO and AS standards.
- Create, update, and manage forms, procedures, and work instructions.
- Handle Customer Returns, Non-conformance, and Corrective Actions.
- Plan and conduct internal quality system audits, as well as semi-annual registrar audits.
- Prepare quarterly reports on the quality system's performance.
- Drive initiatives aimed at improving product quality and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in quality, cost, and time factors.
- Define, manage, and communicate quality metrics throughout the organization.
- Monitor trends and changes in quality-related issues continuously.
- Provide training and mentoring to the QA organization on processes, methodologies, and planning.
- Deliver quality and safety training to employees, including new hires.
- Maintain calibration systems for precision tools and equipment.
- Provide support for AS 9102 FAI Inspection and problem resolution.
- Implement and enforce the company's policies and procedures.
- Require and apply knowledge of contract manufacturing/job shop processes.
- Demonstrate experience in blue-print reading.
- Effectively communicate and engage with employees at all levels in an inclusive manner.
- Utilize specialized industry software applications such as E2.
Ideal Background:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is a plus
- Proficiency with QC tools: verniers, calipers, gauges, oscilloscopes, CMM, etc
- Previous experience as a team lead/supervisor/manager
- Proven experience in QA management in a machine/job shop environment.
- ISO 9001 / AS9100 knowledge and experience with audits are mandatory.
- Familiarity with specialized industry software applications, such as E2.
- Strong understanding of contract manufacturing/job shop processes.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage with employees at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Experience in blue-print reading and calibration systems.
- Ability to travel for semi-annual registrar audits
