We are excited to announce the launch of our Software Quality Assurance (QA) Internship Program. As a Sunwest Bank QA Intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside our incredible team and gain hands-on experience in the world of software development while contributing to our mission of delivering cutting-edge financial services.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Quality Assurance Intern at Sunwest Bank, you will be responsible for building a comprehensive test automation suite focusing one of our product offerings. You will also be involved in identifying and implementing code optimizations and maintaining documentation for your work. Working within the bounds of existing test automation framework and best practices, you’ll gain invaluable professional experience.

  • Development: Work on completing pre-written Azure tickets pertaining to QA automation.
  • Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to best practices.
  • Team Meetings: Attend regular team meetings to address challenges and align team goals.
  • Documentation: Maintain documentation for your work, ensuring transparency and knowledge sharing.
  • Growth: Continue to learn new skills and absorb information about what it means to be a great QA professional.

  • Demonstrates high degree of professionalism in communication, attitude and teamwork with customers, peers and management
  • Demonstrates high level of quality work, attendance and appearance
  • Adheres to all Company Policies & Procedures and Safety Regulations
  • Adheres to local, state and federal laws
  • Understands and complies with all company rules and regulations
  • Attends training and maintains a basic knowledge of procedures to ensure compliance with laws and regulations governing financial institutions, as they apply to your position and job responsibilities, with an emphasis on the BSA/AML/CIP, Consumer Privacy, Regulation CC, Information Security, Bank Protection Act, FACT-Identity Theft, Information Technology and GLBA.
  • Additional duties as assigned as it relates to the position

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Pursuing a degree in Computer Science or other STEM-related field
  • Background in computer programming (Experience with Python or JavaScript and SQL preferred)
  • Strong interest in Quality Assurance, automation, and software testing
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate well
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
  • Willingness to attend an in-person position
