Our engineering team provides force measurement solutions to the aerospace, automotive, energy, factory automation, medical which includes the test and measurement industries as well. Interface products can measure from grams to millions of pounds in hundreds of models and physical sizes. By maintaining the entire process, from design, machining, strain gage manufacturing and assembly, and in our own facilities, we can ensure the highest degree of performance possible.

Our in-house calibration labs, certified to ISO-17025 and ANSI Z540.1, support a variety of test standards including ASTM E74, ISO-376, and many others.

Schedule:

  • Monday-Friday. 7am-3:30pm

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform visual inspection of in-process products for proper labeling, connectors, cabling, paint, threads, and workmanship criteria.
  • Communicate with production supervisor/ team leaders/ operators (as instructed by QA management) problems found during inspections and audits.
  • Verification that documentation such as calibration certificates, routing sheets, certificates of compliance are complete and accurate.
  • Writes non-conforming material reports for defective products.
  • Uses basic quality control tools such as sampling plans, inspection techniques and measuring tools such as scales, calipers, thread gages, etc.
  • Documents inspection results in electronic media and maintains meticulous detailed records pertinent to inspection results.
  • Recommend updates to procedures and methods.
  • Adhere to commitment dates and collaborates with other departments such as production and shipping in resolving quality issues and meeting deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education - High School Diploma

Experience/Requirements  - Experience in manufacturing quality control or production inspection.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

  • Ability to walk and stand around production areas most (at least 75%) of workday.
  • High level attention to detail.
  • Basic math skills including decimals, fractions and percentage calculations and measurement unit conversion.
  • Interpret manufacturing drawings and instructions.
  • Collaborative team player and problem solver.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent documentation skills recording keeping.
  • Experience with MS Excel and Word.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES DESIRED

  • Experience working in ISO Quality Management System
  • Quality auditing
  • Experience working with ERP system
  • Experience with sensors or other similar electro-mechanical devices
  • Solder to IPC 610 class 2 standards, capable of soldering surface mount components

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move items over 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Salary: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
