Job Description:
The Quality Assurance Center of Excellence Engineer (QA-COE) Intern will have an opportunity to support quality initiatives across the enterprises. The QA-COE Intern will work closely with QA-COE leaders and team members on a variety of projects and will apply Quality Assurance principles, methodologies, and tools to ensure quality across the entire software development lifecycle. The Intern will also work closely with the Test Automation Engineers to develop hands-on experience for creating and executing automation scripts.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with team members to test Software applications
- Review software requirements and functional design specifications
- Use QA methods and tools to test and ensure quality of various software applications
- Execute, update, and maintain test plans and test cases
- Develop automated test scripts
- Track test coverage and defects in test management application and provide Reporting metrics
- Troubleshoot and triage issues
- Document and escalate issues appropriately
- Write and organize test review documentation
Basic Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program. (Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD)
- Familiarity with Quality Assurance and testing strategies
- Strong analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills
- Detailed oriented with good organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- Familiarity with Test Automation Software
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team-oriented environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Openness to receiving and applying feedback
- Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Work comfortably in a fast-paced work environment
- Motivated, self-starter with strong interpersonal skills
Intern/Co-Op sessions are considered temporary employment. No full-time employment commitments are made. However, depending on our business needs, some interns may be considered for a full-time position following the conclusion of the session conditioned upon the intern graduating from their academic program and being available to commence full-time employment at a specified time.
