SkyWater is searching for a Quality Assurance Engineer at our Design and Manufacturing site in Bloomington, MN! Every day, we work together to solve the unsolvable! Improving lives around the world by co-creating new technologies with customers and encouraging courageous innovations.
Responsibilities:
- Internal and external customer-facing position that works directly with customers to address inquiries, requests, or issues.
- Investigate and scope source of potential defect in manufacturing and quality management system processes, i.e. source end of line sort failures to inline fab defects or compliance issues.
- Work cross functionally to complete corrective actions / find processing marginalities to prevent recurrence.
- Work collaboratively with other departments and suppliers to resolve supplier related issues.
- You will play a significant role for improving wafer specs and procedures.
- BS in Engineering or other relevant discipline/equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 1 - 2 years quality engineering experience in a regulated environment.
- Understanding of standards (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and AS 9100).
- Familiar with statistical analysis tools, DOEs, and able to communicate results
- Understanding of Risk Management.
- Must be able to read and interpret the intent of standards, and translate them with guidance into highly effective quality management systems.
- Clear problem-solving capability with data driven systematic approaches to finding solutions.
- Customer first mindset.
- Ability to multitask, in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Demonstrated ability to meet commitments and deliver results.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fab processing tools knowledge/experience.
- Experience in the areas of supplier management and corrective action.
