Location: Richfield, WI (30 minutes from Milwaukee and Waukesha)

We're Looking For A:Quality Assurance Document Control Specialist which involves the systematic cataloging and arrangement of necessary Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for both manufacturing and warehouse facilities. This role encompasses the oversight of document change requests, ensuring that updated documentation complies with relevant regulations. The role will maintain an organized repository of documentation related to manufacturing and warehouse procedures, facilitating swift access upon request. Additionally, the position provides support to Quality Supervisor/Manager during audits by supplying required documentation. The Quality Assurance Document Control Specialist is also tasked with managing training records, ensuring that all personnel have their pertinent training records on file.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Manage all supplier documentation and ensure documents remain current; coordinate with suppliers to obtain updated documentation as needed.
  • Manage all internal documentation control adhering to BRC standards.
  • Point of Contact for Alchemy Training system, ensuring new hires are added to system and former employees are removed.
  • Responsible for generation of all finished product Certificates of Analysis
  • Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and updates for all finished product specifications
  • Responsible for maintenance of all international regulatory documentation (Canada APHIS, China, etc.)
  • Support Quality Manager/Supervisor during all regulatory, customer, and certification audits
  • Work collaboratively with the GPM Quality Team to complete all customer and/or supplier questionnaires and provide supporting documentation when requested.
  • Work with Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing to obtain all required documentation to ensure BRC compliance.
  • Responsible to ensure timelines are adhered to for all Events in QMS system (CAPAs, NCRs, SCARs, etc.)
  • Provide assistance to corporate Quality department on an as needed basis.

  • Proven data analysis skills and ability to identify root causes of issues.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high level of accuracy in work.
  • Strong analytical skills to understand and comprehend scientific/technical information and legal regulations and identify where improvements can be made.
  • Strong problem-solving ability with a keen sense to identify challenges through audits and regular communication with other departments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and can comfortably communicate with others in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to work on a cross-functional team and is comfortable balancing team and individual responsibilities.
  • Self-driven, focused individual with strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, leadership and a safety mindset.
  • 2 years of experience working in Quality Assurance
  • Understanding of food safety and quality systems and manufacturing processes and technologies preferred
  • Knowledge of government regulatory requirements in pet food manufacturing preferred
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred
