Best Provision is looking for a qualified candidate to lead the cooking and smoking team. We are looking for an applicant that can learn the system and analyze data to keep this critical aspect of the business functioning at peak performance. We are willing to train and educate as required for the right individual.
Essential responsibilities
-Be able to work and communicate with a variety of people
-Perform monitoring activities in accordance with documented frequencies
-Adhere to strict GMPS and SSOPs
-Understand HACCP and CCP monitoring
-Be able to operate computerized ovens and read graphs
-Able to document product flows as required
-Be able to push or move racks of meat if necessary
-Be able to comprehend USDA regulations
-Perform other related responsibilities needed to support business objectives
Skill and abilities
-Ability to complete assigned tasks
-Available to work extended shifts
-Ability to acquire knowledge of meat and food industry
-Ability to read write and communicate in English, Spanish is a plus
-Ability to work with minimal supervision and make reasonable and accurate decisions
-Adhere to specifications
2+ years' experience in meat processing or food safety certification preferred
